Somerset, NJ: NJ St. Peter’s Prep ‘23 WR Jamei Schenck is Primed to Succeed and a Huge Asset to Any University

Jamei Schenck has dealt with enough adversity in his short time on Earth for two lifetimes.

But those difficult times have only made the St. Peter’s Prep junior stronger, and Schenck is now one of the best student-athletes, and people, in the state of New Jersey.

Schenck plays wide receiver in one of the top football programs in the country and shined brightly in 2021. He averaged 22.6 yards per catch, thanks to his blazing speed (4.41 40 time) and strength (425-pound squat) in a frame that is still growing (5-10, 180 pounds). Schenck is also one of the best special teams’ players in the state and was Special Teams Player of the Year in 2021.

Schenck is also a superstar in the classroom at St. Peter’s with a 3.77 GPA, and already has multiple Ivy League institutions interested including Harvard.

Here is a scouting report on Schenck, and some words from one of his coaches:

“Jamei is the most athletic kid I’ve ever coached, and he brings toughness and discipline. He is everybody’s favorite teammate and is extremely coachable.

“Jam’s schedule with the Marauders has him competing against some of the best athletes in the country: Division 1 teammates and adversaries are commonplace for Schenck. His exploits depict a player with field awareness, speed and explosion.

His workout numbers are explosive. Schenck has clocked a 4.41s 40, with an 11.4m, and 115" broad jump, but nothing is as impressive as his footwork, agility, shiftiness, and bursts of speed with pads on. His versatility in multiple positions - whether kicking, punting, holding, running, or playing on special teams - separates Jam from the rest.”

This is a player that is only going to get better over the summer and into his senior season. Schenck has already overcome so much adversity to get to this point: he is primed to succeed in life and will be a huge asset to any university.
