NJ Offensive Tackle Cole Morgan Joins Todd Smith’s Elite HUN Raider Football Program at Princeton Post-Grad
Chester, NJ: If Hun School Head Coach Todd Smith wants you to come play on the offensive line for him, it is an invitation that is too hard to pass up for players.
When you see Smith’s track record with linemen, it is easy to see why.
Cole Morgan is the latest in a long line of elite offensive linemen to make their way to the Hun School campus, and the post grad from Delbarton is going to benefit greatly from a year with the Raiders.
Morgan is already highly rated with multiple Division 1 and Ivy League offers, but a year spent in the weight program at Hun, as well as practicing with and against a roster full of Power Five and D1 players, will only make the big (6-5, 275 pounds) tackle that much better.
Morgan was an All-State player for the Green Wave, and as good as he was on the field, he is an elite student: he has a 3.5 GPA and a 1230 SAT already.
Morgan already benches 350 pounds and squats 480, and he runs a 5.01 40; all of those numbers will get better in the coming year.
Here is a scouting report on Morgan:
“PrepStar Magazine has identified Cole Morgan as a 3-Star prospect and All-Eastern Region prospect for the class of 2022. Morgan is a tremendous 2-sport standout who excels in football and lacrosse. You won’t find many 275-lb linemen that can run around the lacrosse field like Cole Morgan can. Morgan is a very athletic and highly talented offensive line prospect who plays for one of the top high school programs in the state.
“This young man has been well coached and has a work ethic second to none both in the classroom and on the playing field. Morgan is a very smart player with a high football IQ. Plays assignment football and gets the job done. Watching his highlight video, you will see a very athletic lineman who has great tenacity with his blocks. He’s a tackle who has the athletic ability to play inside in college if needed.
“He’s young for his class and has a lot of upside growth and development ahead of him. Morgan has excellent feet and does a great job of using his hands and arms as a pass and run blocker. Comes off powerfully at pad level and stays with his blocks until the whistle blows. Unlimited upside potential for this rising star!”
