NJ '23 QB CHRIS LANG BACK IN THE SADDLE FOR HUDSON CATHOLIC
FREEHOLD, NJ – Chris Lang, Jr. was forced to sit the first 30 days of the season due to the NJSIAA’s transfer policy. Lang was cleared to play on Oct 1st. The 2023 200 lbs. signal caller did not miss a step in his first two games back.
Lang and his Hudson Catholic Hawks took down Westside 19-14 and North Bergen 41-6 in consecutive games. Westside is a team that the Hawks had a ton of trouble with last season.
In these first contests, Lang had 13 completions on just 17 attempts (76%). He amassed 241 yards alongside 2 TD passes. The upside is huge for the junior and he gets to show his skills once again at home on Friday (22nd) vs Union City.
“Chris has a strong arm and is a superb athlete," said Pat Marzo, GoMVB Analyst. "He is calm, reads defenses well and has terrific scrambling ability. He will be a highly sought after QB recruit but this is a player who could also perform at tight end, slot, linebacker or safety at the next level. That’s how versatile he is.”
Lang has a 3.8 GPA and is a multi-semester honor roll student.
