GoMVB Signs Versatile Rising HS Football Star on Way to Scoring Division Goals
HOWELL, NEW JERSEY - GoMVB has announced the onboarding of all-star Howell Rebels Nick Vecchiarelli, Class of 2022 who’s got his sights set on playing NCAA D1, D2, and D3 ball while achieving his higher education degree in Business. Are his dreams high hopes or can Vecchiarelli make it happen?
“As a junior,” said Coach Pat Marzo of GoMVB, “Nick had outstanding catches over the middle as a slot receiver in traffic, stretched the field for multiple long yardage touchdowns of over 40 plus yards as a wide receiver and then displayed the interior and exterior blocking of a tight end.” Coach Marzo continues, “On defense, Vecchiarelli was able to play in the box and stop the run but then displayed the ability to cover the deep ball with massive success against wide receivers. In a game against Manalapan, on a 30 yard pass, down at his own 2 yard line, Vecchiarelli intercepted. This pick sealed the victory for his team that was up just 6 points with 30 seconds remaining.”
Vecchiarelli stands at 6’0” tall and already weighs 194 lbs. at 17 years old. His wingspan reaches 74” and his frame will allow him to get up to 220 lbs. by the time he reaches collegiate ball in the Fall of 2022. Versatility is his secret weapon. He earned a spot on the All-Division Team as a Tight End but he could have easily made it as a receiver, safety or linebacker.
Schools currently showing an interest in Vecchiarelli are UPENN, ESU, Albright, Rochester, Muhlenberg, TCNJ, Newberry, Sacred Heart, and Kutztown.
