COACH NOTES
Francesco Barone (2022) is a highly recruited junior out of the Hun School of Princeton. He is a two time all MAPL First team safety. Francesco is known as a no nonsense-hard hitting safety and major ball hawk. Offensively, he is dangerous each time the ball gets into his hands.
The sky is the limit for this young man! So far, FBS offers for Barone consist of Kent St, Air Force, Army and Navy. Penn, Princeton, Columbia, Georgetown, Dartmouth and Lehigh have offered as well. Rutgers, UConn, Holy Cross and a ton of other universities are all over Francesco. Barone’s A average in the classroom alongside a 200 lb chiseled frame is a pure dream for college coaches.
Barone’s weight room numbers are so absurd they look like they cannot be true at first glance. Remember this is a skill position player who ran his first ever 100m race in 11 seconds. Bench Press – 320 lbs, squat –415 and deadlift 465. Barone has a gifted frame, this is a player that we can see being a fierce and lean 6’2” 220lb safety at any level or he can make the move to become a 230 lb plus linebacker who can cover any back and TE the opposition has to offer.
On a side note: St Joes running back and Notre Dame bound Audric Estime gave the Hun defense a lot to handle in their 2020 contest. Barone had double digit tackles that game and had half a dozen one on one tackles on NJ’s best player. There is never a challenge too big for Francesco.
Keep an eye out because things are about to heat up even further for one of the best safeties the 2022 class of NJ has to offer.
